Little things

So my track record for clumsy incidences keeps on building... on the way to family dinner with the noomies (roomies+neighbors=noomies)... I dropped my jar of salsa in the middle of someone's driveway... yep we are talking broken glass and unopened salsa all over the cement...
Lauren and I just stood there for a second laughing saying "what do we do?"

So what did we do?

Well, we went back to my house, filled four large cups with water, grabbed two plastic bags and headed back to the tragic scene... like the good people we are, or try to be, we picked up all the glass and tried to flush the salsa down the street with the water... quite the scene we created for any neighbors that may have walked by a window... thus arriving a good 20 minutes late... sans salsa...

After explaining to Dixie the different events that have made my record grow over the last 2 weeks, she responded with,"But Katie, just think of all the days that you haven't fallen!"

This is why I love this place :)

After dinner we headed home, passing the little colorful stream we created earlier in the day... and I comforted myself with my first viewing of Win a Date with Tad Hamilton and a some fresh fruit in a pretty bowl...

Some days... you just gotta be content with the small things in life, like grapes, strawberries, and lots of love from friends... even when you do unintentionally keep them on their toes and salsa free.... :)
